I almost hate to ask...

Discuss the creation of various model formats for Quake engines, and related matters to modeling.

.. but are these too good to be true?

http://www.blackrayne.net/

It would be awful if they weren't legit as they cover every map model I need and more besides.

I shan't even begin using them until I'm convinced they're ok to use.

Well, if it helps any... I don't recognise any of them.

The texture work is all mostly lazy photosourcing though, and the renders have ambient occlusion. so you'll see these much flatter ingame (especially with bsp29/30's light model all lighting will be flat on models)

looks more promising to use than any of sitters' i'll tell you that
i should not be here

Thanks for reply.

Well that's something I suppose.

The photosourcing I, personally, can live with (couldn't really complain, half the custom textures in my mod have started off with me driving round snapping away with my camera) and as I'm not in a position to create any better I'm just gonna accept it really.

Yeah, I'll probably be using them instead of sitters thats for sure
