i dont normally model in max. here's my attempt on a gun.

Good start ceriux.
Make sure you use the connect option (select 2 verts and press connect and you'll see) You want to make sure for faces with more than 3 verts (quads) that are "bent" get triangulated the way you want. How they're getting triangulated in the viewport may differ by the time you get it into quake.

I'd also advise you to use connect on the ends of the cylinders, so you get nice straight lines... that way when the model is modulated via vertex lighting it goes across smoothly.

How can you deny these sensible reasons for increasing gun control and stopping the senseless killings? If there were no guns in the country, there would be few gun murders. Two - Some guns would be smuggled into the country, but MOST criminals would not have guns. It is much harder to kill people with knives or your hands.
Three - If you have a gun, you are more likely to be killed by a gun. The criminal has to protect himself from you. The criminal will usually catch you by surprise, and your gun will not protect you.

your fucking stupid go away... its just as easy to stab someone as is it to shoot someone. plus id rather be shot than stabbed any day.
