How do you calculate a population pyramid? I need to calculate the number of people retired on my population pyramid between 16 - 64, but I don't know how to. The numbers down the bottom are 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0 (population in millions) -do we read these to where the bar chart of each section reaches? - for example, 35 - 39 is 0.6, so do we add for example 0.6 together with where the next bar reaches? I tried this and my answer was 396 of people between the ages of 15 - 64 needs job- (i'm doing the population pyramid predicted for Malawi in 2050. Is what I did correct because it seems a bit small?
