So Mexicouger gave me a great idea by making a video tutorial for .qc.

So i'v decided make video tutorials for everything i know how to do minus .qc.

To start off im making mapping tutorials , once im finished with my mapping tutorials, im going to get to work on modeling tutorials.

Tutorials:

Mapping
1. Basic's of mapping for Quake. - first time using recording program forgive the quality of video.
(Download)
2. Basic's of mapping for Quake Part .2.

just finished my second mapping tutorial. this one may be a little longer i did a bunch of extra chatting while i was doing things just to keep the video a little interesting. ill be uploading it as soon as its done saving.

apparently this video is going to take a LONG time to upload... i think next time ill return the video quality down. now a question. does anyone know of a good screen recording program besides camstudio? its been doing great aside from after a certain amount of time recording the video and audio stop lining up. its about 34 seconds off...

I've used CAM Studio: I preset the recording window to 1280x720 (720p) and size the program window to match. Better performance than full screen. But I don't know if that will solve audio issue.

Are you able to select other codecs? That can affect size/ audio.

yes, that was discussed with mexicougar. im going to try his codec setup and everything with my next tutorial and see how it goes. if it ends up well then ill remake the first two tutorials.

Looks good for mappers! I think we all should eventually get enough videos on youtube, that new modders can just pick a trade, and learn it through videos.

Tom-5 is doing Modeling tutorials, as well as Dukesinstinct. All we need are texturing tutorials.
