SmashQuake - Another Quake Mod
I made this mod a few weeks ago but the netquakers at quakeone.com sure do like it. So I'm gong to continue working on it. People are offering me maps for the mod left and right which is very nice. I figured I'd share the love with you guys.

Smash Quake
A new mod using the same gameplay physics as Super Smash Brothers. The game is King of the Hill where you have to shoot your opponents off the stage to earn points. This is the only way you can KO someone. Your velocity when hurt is determined by how much damage you've accumulated. Look at your health to determine how much damage you've taken. You start out with 1 health and as you take damage your health increases. So the more health you have, to easier it is for others to blast you off the stage. KOing someone earns you a point while being KO'd makes you lose a point. These are timed matches so you will keep fighting until the timer runs out.
You can also double jump.
ps - you can also be KO'd if you fly too far above the stage :O
Time limit: 4 minutes
Maps: Final Destination, Listener, Condemned
Max players: 4
You will have to download the maps here:
http://shub-hub.com/files/maps_multiplayer/finaldest.zip
http://shub-hub.com/files/maps_multiplayer/listener.zip
http://shub-hub.com/files/maps_multiplayer/condemned.zip
Put the bsp files into your ./id1/maps/ directory and you're good to go.
Connect to whitehot.quakeone.com when you are ready to smash
If you're unfamiliar to how Super Smash Bros is played, watch this video:

SMASHQUAKE VERSION 0.04
I was persuaded to release a version of the mod that included double jump so here ya go. ORL was willing to release his map right away too so you guys get double jump + a new map
Thanks to Phenom, Slugnut, and ORL for short notice playtesting.
Download the new map and continue playing at whitehot
http://shub-hub.com/files/maps_multiplayer/condemned.zip <-- ORL's map
I didn't feel that this version was complete enough to release right away but if the public wants double jump I won't keep it away from them

I played some tonight and, wow, this mod is *brutal*!!!
I really liked the "listener" map, as it was more complex than the other ones and, when I got lucky enough, sometimes gave me the chance of not dying straight away when I was falling from the upper edge

Zop did a great job with that map. I honestly think it's the best arena map I've ever played on. That's including Rocket Arena maps.
