Also yes TAoV has removed Quake assets and has always planned to from day 1 .. I just hate using OpenQuartz crap because it's so damn ugly. Also no, TAoV isn't finished and has never been other than releasing betas for the public to play and comment on (which helped A LOT in its evolution).. a lot is done that isn't yet implemented. I just need mappers and levels.
Hope that helps.

last time i checked - which wasn't that long ago - The Ascension of Vigil isn't derived from gpl sources thus irrelevant
you should witchhunt every mod on idgames2/ because you think they're all standalone games apparently
i should not be here

I have no issue with Ren using quake models in TAoV. Frankly we're all guilty of using others IP in the past.
I don't think any of the modders here can honestly say they've never used a model form another mod without asking permission.
The point is that it's a little hypocritical to analyse the infringements of others when we are all guilty of infringements ourselves.

Ascension of Vigil was promoted as a standalone game or total conversion back at the time I first learned of it. RenegadeC was talking about the Quake 3 EULA, so I thought the original Quake EULA was at least a little relevant. You are familiar with the original Quake EULA, right Cheapy?
Cheapy, have you considered removing the Quake Retexturing Project textures that are in Open Arena?
Those aren't GPL, you know.
/Since we are on the topic

That's why this thread is a documentation and nothing more, it's not to 'go after' anyone.

there are none
There certainly are.
And when I saw them, I can say I found it extremely hypocritical that someone like yourself that goes overboard acting like an emo to others on numerous occasions hasn't applied his standards to himself.
/I'm not saying it was intentional on your part. I figure you inherited them second hand somehow. But I still find it very hypocritical that someone who wastes as much time as you do on trolling others didn't expend a similar type of effort to check all of your textures.

point them out
i did not ever use any q1retex textures in any OA release. I know this for a fact. You are completely wrong and delusioned as usual. But that doesnt stop you from making 'freequake' from the shareware version deriving it and giving it away like it's public domain
Can you say "POT KETTLE"?

You know, you troll me a lot. And I'm not sure what I ever did to you.
For example, you trolled me in this thread with no effort to be fair or considerate. I was on topic with the content with this thread, but you didn't care, you just wanted to be an ass to me.
Right now, I am thinking you should do your own homework on your project.
Maybe I'll change my mind later and post them. But I'm thinking considering the way you've acted to me both today and the past, that I probably won't change my mind.
