I was a pretty rabid Duke3d fan before I changed over to Quake. The lack of a f**king sequel, and the closing of THE Duke3d community site (dukeworld.com), delivered a rather nasty deathblow to an already slowing Duke3d modding scene... 10 years on, and I'm still bitter about it, lol.

To be honest, if the Duke3d had better online play, and modding scene had survived, I don't think I would have bothered with Quake (there, I've said it). Nobody makes the tits and ass toilet humour shit that I want to play, and I'm too lazy to make it myself.
