CSQC tutorials have to be created !

Postby motorsep » Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:46 pm

If we want to see tutorials using CSQC we need to act now! :)
Seriously, let's start small. If somebody can explain to me how to make simple HUD, I will write a tutorial.
Or how to make chase cam in CSQC.
I have been forced to learn QC and it's not very easy task, especially because I don't have much time to to amount of art work I have to do for my game.
But if you help me to learn and understand certain things in QC and CSQC, I will give it back to community.

I agree with everything motorsep said, it'd be nice to update the tutorial section also having CSQC in it's own place.

I strongly disagree. CSQC should be kept a huge secret to us elitists not letting anyone else know how to do it so we can have a big ego for ourselves! dam our secret plan leaked
i should not be here

lol leileilol :)

I need to make particles emit from given tags (bone) constantly (imagine chu chu train moving and it's pipe smoking).
LH said it should be done in CSQC. The question is - how?

That's just a plug-in status bar, but I'm moving toward demonstrating it being mixed with the server code using some files common between the two. All my sources like that though have a bunch of other irrelevant stuff in them at the moment.

Awesome Krim, will have to check it out. Does that contain an actual tutorial, or just code with comments?

Just code with comments and a readme, but mostly just code. If any part needs explaining in greater detail, post here and I can upload a new version of it.
