I like them both too. But why not give some modding attention to the other quakes?

Doom is 2D (but with tricks that can make it look like 3D), Quake is real 3D. That was revolutionary for that time ('96).
Now Quake graphics sucks near many modern games, but that's not the point. I haven't seen any game that has the awesome playability as Quake. The *only* game that gets close to the Quake's playability is Half-Life DMC, because, of course, it's Quake to HL.
I don't care about graphics, but yes, playability.
Quake is fast as hell, so practice your reflexes, newcomers!
And for people that only wants perfect graphics, that says "Quake is old!", you don't know what you're losing!!
Quake: Classic. Awesome! Long life to Quake!
Quake2: Sucks. Too slow.
Quake3: Never played before, but people say me it's nice too.
Quake4: Never played, I don't have a good enough machine, so I don't know exactly.
More importantly, Quake can be easily modded and improved, and runs on a 100mhz pc.
I love seeing the guys flying around the map in a FFA match.

Why, the only quake that actually matters. The Quake that launched under the name "Quake". Because like leileilol said, the other quakes suck. Also because what RenegadeC said too.

wow, this is a quake fanatics site. Or rather a leilei dittoheads site. I'm impressed.
But yeah, I like quake 1 too, but im better at quake2. But i agree, for example, q3a's shotgun sucks, much like the entire openarena shit game does.

You're not the only one that does. It also implies that we aren't allowed to agree with someone when they state a common truth.

leileilol is a member of this community, who contributes (more so than I do) and is someone I like having around - but I am not a leilei dittohead.
I happen to enjoy quite well the first 3 Quakes, having not played the more recent ones. I just think the original Quake is by far the strongest one of them all.
Quake2 is too narrow in its setting to really stimulate the imagination much, but I did enjoy it. Unfortunately, the base unit is by far its strongest point. Good CTF though.
Quake3 seems to have found its niche as the artistic mappers venue, due to the strength of curved surfaces and shaders... I have seen some gorgeous Q3A maps. I enjoy it fairly well... but I must say, its shotgun is quite fair. A nice 110 damage wallop. Its weakest point for me is the devolution of in game strategy, which has followed all first person shooters over time.
I am however, definitely a Quake fanatic. I am a fan of Quake, and I thoroughly enjoy it, 12 years after getting it still.

leileilol in his/her variously incarnations has put an awful lot in to this community over the years. Whatever personal disagreements we may have had with him/her (and there have been quite a few for many of us), he/she is a valued member of this community.
I'll thank you not to belittle us for that.
