The vote seems kind of pointless :P

But my favourite maps are: e4m3, e4m4, e4m7, e4m8

Because they're huge, oppressive, weird and abstract and creepy, well populated by the tougher monsters, and have all those crazy things like constantly spawning fiends/scrags (e4m3), tons of dark areas that fiends seem to hide in then pounce from, and can be quite challenging still on hard difficulty....

I don't really have a favourite map, mainly because I've never really played Quake through. Weird, uh? And, yeah, you can all come in the queue and slap my face with a frozen Pancake & Sausage on a Stick for that.
Otherwise, well, erm... I kinda like e1m1 (am I digging my own grave, now?)... I've always thought it'd make a great assault map... and well, it's the map I continuously see when I test mods

DM6, cause has all the weapons, so is easy to test weapons.
Theres the big room, that is a good test area for weapon.

The map layout is simple, even more simple than DM4, that is somewhat a maze to me. But is big enough, and DM4 is too small to me. Maybe too "vertical".

I like DM maps because load fast, so are good for quick testing.

DM6 is also good to test player movements. You can run, You can jump, You can rocket jump. You can bunnyjump. Theres stairs, theres a few fun teleports.

In real gameplay, with bots, is also fun. Maybe somewhat hard if bots have "GOD AIM", but thats also a testing thing.

DM6 is like my backyard. I have wasted more hours of my life there, than watching The Simpsons.

Anyway other maps are fun. Wind Tunnels the best.

DM6 everytime. I totally agree that it's like my backyard.

Okay, this is going to sound really wierd, but I like them all. In terms of most played in no particular order (mostly for testing stuff)

dm1, dm2, dm4, dm5, dm6, e1m1, e1m2, e1m3, e2m2, e2m3, e3m2, e3m3, e4m4.

Hmmmm, I like various maps...
But I'll cast my vote to e4m3, it's a good map for FFA with more than 6 players, it have the best weapons and several quads.
I like dm3 for playing clan arena, kombat teams or team deathmatch.
dm6 is good for FFA, too, dm4, and dm2.
I like end for duels, or mid-air.

Am I the only one who plays singleplayer?

Multiplayer is retarded.

dm3, because
- it has all weapons
- it has (almost) all powerups
- it has water
- it's brown
- it has wide and cramped spaces
- it has sky areas
- it has platforms
- it has places to hide from players to ambush

DM6 is also very ballistic as grenades are on a high area, where you can "Own" the level.

DM6 is a "grenades" vs "rockets" vs "lighting gun" poem.

The guy with the lighting guy start invisible. That is unique!.

Theres also a Quake2 map that I like. A dm one, with a circular area. You know the name. I play Quake2 like zero or minus zero, but that map is kool.

You mean "The Edge"? That one actually got a port to original quake I believe.

You use the sp maps to test mods?
