You'll notice not many people here at Inside3D appreciates Half-Life or the Gordon Freeman character, mainly because Valve are a bunch of Microsoft derived tools. Just a warning.

Speak for yourself. I couldn't care less about their relation to said company, which is just what they are, companies, about making money. Anyone being a company and at the same time claiming anything else is a liar. Half-Life was great in many aspects, Valve less great, Microsoft have their good sides.

Anyhoo, I like free models. WTG

I welcome free models myself, though personally Im not big on Half Life either and have no interest in doing stuff with it or similar to it - but I welcome the resources nonetheless.

Id just personally love to see more free resources like this for Quake that shoot more for Quake's theme, just in terms of world detail models like barrels, trees, torches, lamps, wall decorations like shields and swords, and so on.

If youre looking for stuff to model for Quake people could make use of, wander around the singleplayer maps and take note of where it loos kind of bare and empty and think, "what should go here as part of the original release?" Keep it Quakey =)
