Need a coder

Postby Entar » Fri Jan 12, 2007 10:07 pm

Hey guys,

I have a friend (mapper) who wants to work on a project, but needs a QC coder to help out. It sounds like a pretty interesting thing, so I figured I'd post here for him. He says it's going to be a futuristic thing, somewhat story-based (as opposed from q3 style DM) from the sound of it.

Post here if you're interested. Thanks.

Story-based futuristic thing huh?
F. A. Špork, an enlightened nobleman and a great patron of art, had a stately Baroque spa complex built on the banks of the River Labe.

I can't commit to any project, really, but I wish you good luck on your search, Graham. It's always nice to know there are people out there working on new mods ;)

I'm not so much looking for permenant team members, just anybody who could help out, even if it's just to do one map. (I'm also looking for level designers)

This is where the project stands. There's a 3D modeller, a level designer, an engine programmer, only thing I need now is a QC coder. I'm determined that I can make this project work, but that's only going to be true if I get support of other people. I'm not a game making Swiss Army Knife, I need the help of others. All I ask is that you give it a chance. :)

It would help if we could know a bit more about the project itself...
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)

Yeah, it sound like the team is being fairly nicely filled out, but people like to know what they would be working on, at least in general. I see you did list your email address for those seeking more info, but perhaps you could give something a bit more than "futuristic story based"?

I am however excited to see another project starting up. =)
