Dissapering support for older windows
After upgrading to windows 10 i had the notion to create a virtual machine like windows 7's XP mode.
To my horror i discovered that its allmost impossible to get updates for XP or any older windows.
The windows update site v6 has all but gone, ie8 cannot be downloaded anywhere in danish, and pretty much any site has dropped support for the old IE6 browser
so you cannot even open a site to search for a newer browser to begin with.
So if you plan to have a VM with some older windows OS for those cases where your stuff cannot run on windows 10, id suggest getting wsusoffline and use it to get all updates for those OS's. Last version of wsusoffline to support XP is 9.2.1.
