Conversion blatantly taken from from Ed
As a joke and to avoid any trademark issues I called it "House of Cheeseathon". It's a cheese factory isn't it? Look.
also i had too much fun posing secondary, tertiary and quaternary clients to connect to my spectator server
I should really do a Sgt. Peppers style group shot of all of the models when I finish.
i should not be here

It's looking good... actually the chinese schoolgirls are oddly menacing... and come to think of it, Klesk is like a weird gargoyle without wings. So the models dont bother me, but a good range (with the same hull of course) is nice.
How many maps does it have thus far?
The Sgt Pepper idea would be a great wallpaper.

THEY'RE NOT SCHOOLGIRLS
Klesk might be easy to "imitate" if i just base on the gargoyle, delete wings and just spike it up a bit. I'd rather do it when his animations are better though
it has 7 working maps in the list, though there are more but they're broken (yet they are still included).

Hehe, are they Hsien-Ko (Lei-Lei) models? If so they are more realistic than most people are used to.
For the uninitiated : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hsien-Ko
P.S. Darkstalkers was an awesome game that blow my mind when I first played it in the arcade. My favorites where, the mummy (Victor von Gerdenheim), Demitri Maximoff and Frankenstein's Monster (Victor von Gerdenheim). Maybe I should go hunt an emulator down....

Last time I downloaded OpenArena, I hardly played it, I must admit, so I thought this time I'd give it a little more time.
I personally like it, it's in all cases the only free Q3-based game out there that is a good old deathmatch and enables people to play something similar to Q3 for free. So, just for that, it's cool.
When I played this evening there weren't that many servers and the people playing typically came in, tried it, then went, so it was difficult to have real long battles. I ruled each game, but probably because there weren't that many people staying from start to finish. Not the mod's fault, of course. Hopefully some people will set up servers out there and more people will play.
I'm divided about the Q3-feel. See, it feels close to Q3, but then many people do own that game, so why would they want to play this instead? Maybe it'd be cool to veer away a little from that "theme" and embrace something slightly different to make the game more appealing, more "new". Since you're into the Chinese/manga stuff, maybe that could be an option. I dunno. I realize building maps and all is a pain.
Otherwise, I noticed that bots sometimes have this weirdo move of lying down on the ground while firing. I think it'd be okay in some sort of tactical mod or game mode, but here, in the middle of a close-range fight, it did look funny (both "weird" and "hehe"). Oh, and on that Cheeseathon map, the waypointing for the bots might need to be revised. There is one location where they systematically jump head first in lava. All the time. You can just sit and watch and wait they score to go down. Might want to fix that.
Oh, and there seems to be some missing sounds (haste, for example) and also some missing models (I got a couple of funky x-y-z lines instead of models at times)...
Cool, otherwise. I'm looking forward to the next versions. This one appealed to me much more than the previous ones, in all cases.
Update: In the last hour, I've been getting an "invalid game folder" error when I want to play on one of the two servers available. When I try again the same server, OpenArena crashes. I think it might have something to do with people using the Q3 original files to play via OpenArena. Why people who do that instead of simply playing Quake3, I don't know. I understand maybe wanting to play different maps than the ones offered in the download, but simply expecting people to use the whole of the original Q3 files is a bit silly. Since the second server seems to be using custom maps, I can't join either, for some reason. Kind of annoying

Update2 : I'm surprised this post is the only one Ch... Leileilol does not comment on even though he is commenting on others. Have I said something wrong, Lei? Because I surely did mean to help by giving constructive feedback, not to attack the mod or anything, which I do find really nice.
