Too bad it's not that creepy. I saw a similar site documenting the visit to a similar Victorian mental asylum, but it was creepy. Shut down I think since the 70s (and I believe it was actually demolished recently or something), it had some really creepy scenes. By creepy I don't mean simply fallen apart and crap on the floor, but there were dark hallways with ancient wheelchairs and rooms with straps and stuff. I wish I could find that site back :D

Undying is a great game, though it loses its scare factor when you get the scythe - just because you become so powerful...

TCM is doing a special on Friday the 13th of movies, hosted by Rob Zombie. The films being shown are Plan 9 From Outer Space and Bride of the Monster.

A friend of mine has been researching a local abandoned hospital known only as Swingle Hospital, reportedly haunted. It is now boarded up and the police keep an eye on it, as does the family of Swingle. Supposedly you can hear moans and such coming from the building, and also from the backyard where failed patients due to sloppy surgery were buried. She stumbled upon some forums discussing it, where conflicting reports were made - namely that the family claimed in the 50s it was closed and they sold off all the equipment. Yet a number of people who have successfully broken in from the 70s till now have all reported finding it stocked like a hospital of the times, looking like it had just been abandoned. A few also noted magazines from the 60s in the waiting room, and that in the 70s it still had electricity due to the presence of a notification light for the nurse station being on, informing them that they were needed in a certain waiting room.

The Chainsaw Awards on FUSE

some of the nominations are kind of silly (King Kong is not a horror movie by any stretch, though I did like it) and near the end the questions are too pop-culture oriented, but hey, its something.

I'm gonna trundle out my all-time fave DVD The Exorcist among other flicks, and catch what I can on TV. That combined with lots of Lustmord on the Winamp and HL2 (damned good zombie killing to be had, there) should set the right tone for the holidays with me =D

Lets not get into that Sajt =) Keep this thread on topic

I just played some of Asaki's speedmod Beast in the Cave on e4m7 - friggin scary. I got paranoid real quick... and actually got herded into a circular pattern by the beasts, until they closed in and I died =(

Great fun =D

Swingle front

Swingle back

Two pics of the old hospital I spoke of in my town that the locals speak of hearing screams come from on occasion. Also the owners REFUSE to let my university go into the school for historical purposes or anything.

Heres a suggestion, download Transfusion-beta3 and arrange a match with some people on the forums, or drop into #transfusion where a few idle and ask them if theyre up for a match (you can typically find myself, Willis, Kazashi, and LordHavoc in there).

If youve got it configured, play Blood itself in singleplayer, as it is rife with atmosphere and some of the best monster and weapon design youve seen in a game - along with a quality of level design you dont see in most games to this day. I myself played through to e1m4 in it last night and have been thoroughly enjoying it.

Its more frustrating then anything... You pick up the shotgun, walk a 100 feet or so just to be killed by some unknown monster attack... YAY fun! lol.. :-P

You died? The reflexes are not quick with this one. And actually its the monster itself that kills you, through collision.

Number 8 looks photoshopped. Others look pretty cool though.
