I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)

Actually, no. To my own surprise (hence the "(!)" in the subject), a lot of programmers replies, some obviously doubting about a real Carmack post. But when I read him talking about functional programming I knew it was The One (tm). :)
