As for destroying the retro atmosphere, well that can be restored by totally cosmetic changes in templates if you so desire. I'd say its not necessarily a bad thing Retro isn't particularly good, look at func_msgboard. Terribly designed and implemented site. No search, takes up 20% of your screen, etc. The persuit of retro is a dangerous thing.

Especially on boards that support multiple template themes.
But alas, thanks for making the navigation more logical!
