My name is Inigo Montoya...
Sure, I just thought I'd try to be funny first.
My name's Kendrick, I'm 24, and work as a software engineer in Bath, UK during the day, and write SF and design board games in the evenings. The Quake community was the second one I got into online, after the indie band "Silver Sun", back in the days of MDQNet. I think I was a whiny, annoying prick then, but hey, I was like 16 or something.
These days I don't do much Quake modding but still keep an eye on this place.

In personal news this week, I have acquired the abilaty to grow a 'stache. It has fustrated me for years that I can grow hair on my back, ass and toes, but not much above my upper lip. Well, after not shaving it for three weeks, it has finaly shown itself, and it is coming out in a pleasant Tom Sellek like extension of my genial personalty.
That is about as much personal info I'm willing to share at this time.
Any grooming tips will be much appreciated.

... the reason why I bumped this dusty old thread is, because almost all of the people who posted in here 2006 are still active.
It is almost unbelievable for me, that this community of great and talented Quake addicts still holds together for so many years.
I have the deepest respect for all of you. And want to take the opportunity to thank you all that you let me learn so much here.
Simply by reading your words and work...
Hopefully this community will still be here for a long time.
By the way, I want to continue the idea of this thread:
My name is Juergen from Germany. I am 40 years old. And I tinker with Quake more than I play it.
I am still a noob in almost everything compared to you, but I learn slowly and steadily.
Best wishes,
Seven
