hot steam effect

hello at all

Anyone knows how to make a hot steam effect to weapons or models :D

With sprites, I guess, just like the air bubbles. In Quake, that is.

Or maybe there's a DP extension for that. I don't know.

I suspect he's talking about the haze effect.
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)

I tried to make it with the "pretty water" texture, but don´t see very good, because it can see the corners
