If you downloaded this around the time it was released, re-download - there was a few small bugs & I forgot to include palette.lmp..oops.

Just rereading the thread, people may get the impression that Fimg is no good for miptex still, this is not the case, all has been fixed.

maybe on transparent gif import, subsitute the transparency "color" with color 255 in palette lmp, then import the frames after thats done? That would probably solve the whole "my gifs suck" thing.

If you want to load a transparent animated gif, open fimg.ini and change the gifhack=1 line to 0. Restart Fimg, load the gif, increase color depth to 32bpp (this will retain the alpha channel and will force Fimg to re-apply the Quake palette on save) then just save it as a .spr.

If you have a 'compressed' non transparent gif, set gifhack back to 1 and do as above.

Where are those explosions from? They remind me of Metal Slug.

I'll have to remember this for when I need some .sprs!

Version 0.18 posted today, addressing a crash bug that was introduced in v017 when importing multiple files at once. Hopefully that was the only bug...

It's a good tool, in fact, I really should add it to my terribly out-dated "tools" section.

Good work!

I always wondered how to handle these sprites.
Good to have a good example now!

The last one has a downloadable example.
Apperently you'll see nothing, but make a step.

Thanx FrikaC! :)
