I've started this thread to hopefully get some feedback on my little mod I'm making in between bigger projects. I've been doing weekly alpha releases in hopes of getting some discussion going.

It is meant to be played multiplayer, though I will most likely continue to support single player levels.

Only use the latest Darkplaces build with this!

Nothing is final yet! Most things are placeholders. Most things like weapon clip size, reload time, and damage per shot will change! I was actually planning on having those things server modifiable.

You should use the QC SV_PlayerPhysics so you can prevent strafing in sprinting mode (as well as making actual sprinting sprint)

Indeed, working on that. I already use the qc player physics a weee bit. How do you mean make the "sprinting sprint"? If you mean have it limit how far you can sprint, I'm working on that.

As soon as I can get these bugs with animation worked out I'll post an update with fixes and server loaded gun settings to see what you all think is realistic for damage, spread, clip size, and reload times.

New alpha is up. This one includes gameplay.txt which will allow you to change the weapon settings. I need people to test things, and post their settings for the weapons as to what they feel is well balanced and realistic. Also, let me know if I should change the firing rate for the weapons as well.

The lightning cannon is going to function as a sniper rifle sort of weapon soon, so I wouldn't worry too much about changing that one.
