Help with making a game in darkplaces
Hi there. Me and my friend are thinking to make a game from scrach (exept engine which is darkplaces) we would like to know some things.
1. wich model format we should use. We are planing to have atachements in wepons etc in game too. And how to make one from blender?
2. i saw a dpv file mentioned in darkplaces read me. How can i make thouse videos?

1.) I'm a fan of IQM's (Info Here)
Attachments should be easy to do if you use any: MD3, IQM, or DPM.
Just use setattachment and attach it to a tag in the model.
2.) I'm guessing dpv is based off of the RoQ format used in quake3 but don't quote me on that as I really have no clue.

I like the addition of the 3rd hand! Two on 1 gun (reloading) and the other holding the left gun.

I don't think the dpv format is that great. I don't know if DP supports other formats though. I personally am not interested in "FMV" at all.

Hmm about iqm. Could someone giveme step to step tut how to use it. I am noob with blender and my modeler wont work before we finish nzp. (and i want to try iqm with our model). I managed to get untextured and no animation iqm out (confirmed with noesis) but when i open it in darkplaces it says something mod_interquakemodel_load only version 0 models supported.
