I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)

I believe that's from an early alpha version of Quake, shown on the exit screen after the brightness is increased sufficiently.

The "hair" mentioned is no doubt referring to Romero's... :)

yeah that's definitely Romero's typing (only Romero loved to use exclamation points). correction - it's on the rough 'HELP!!!!" screen. maybe it also reveals a bit of doom2 plot
