I'm sure I could search around and find this out, and it even should be something I already know, but I'm lazy, so...

If you have a mod using darkplaces, and there's optimum settings for it; bloom level etc., can you set them in a config file, so that they're set automatically when a player uses the mod?

yes, just shove them set cvars in autoexec.cfg or even quake.rc
