After reading that 1%+ of global population has a Farmville account, I did a search for "quake isometric" and found that pixelart.

It's been done for Doom with point-and-click http://www.moddb.com/games/doom-fall-of-mars

Can look at starting points like Prydon's Gate and frag.machine's custom cam http://forums.inside3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=1158

45 degree camera set far away with low FOV.

KrimZoN did an isometric Quake engine experiment once with Crusader as an inspiration in mind, I am not sure if he has ever released anything of it, but yes the isometric perspective camera CAN be done in Quake with engine changes to turn the view into a fixed orthographic perspective. Not sure if it can be done in software though for flashquake...
