John Carmack Earns GDC Lifetime Achievement Award

Got this from Blue's news:
2010 Game Developers Choice Awards to Honor John Carmack of id Software With Lifetime Achievement Award; Event to be Hosted by Seminal Game Designer Warren Spector

Congrats to Mr. Carmack. He surely deserves this honor, for both his technical genius and for proactively supporting the open source software movement with the fruits of his work. Cheers!
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)

I thought he already won this 2 years ago? Or maybe it was 2 months ago and it seems like 2 years ago to me?

The contributions and ideas that John Carmack have made have been vitally important.
The night is young. How else can I annoy the world before sunsrise? 8) Inquisitive minds want to know ! And if they don't -- well like that ever has stopped me before ..
