Where did your nicknames came from?

My nick is just a random combination of letters =) I'm use it since March of 2006
Another my nick - Thyeadeschatarr - is random too.

Kinda a crappy name for someone in a programming channel in IRC. I log on and I'm the most popular person... everything's highlighted!.

Believe me I can sympathize, in #darkplaces my nick triggers go off constantly "static" is a really easy word to use when talking programming.

Well, for my nick at least it came from two things, was watching IRC and for reasons I can't remember I /whois'd someone and saw the Static part, and I believe someone was referring to fiends in Quake so it just clicked to me.
