I think there's already a topic about this, but nonetheless, I'm impressed.

The first think I thought when I saw this was "Ah, but is it moddable?"
When my computer inevitably explodes and kills me, my cat inherits everything I own. He may be the only one capable of continuing my work.

This being pretty much a straight port in C, it would awesome to just do a Quake Expo where you can just click the maps/mods and load them up directly. Assuming they don't need engine mods..

The shareware asset thing would need to be solved. If only OpenQuartz was a bit more complete / less antithetical to the Quake style.

My version 3.55 sees nothing (OS X) except download the plug-in which doesn't seem to exist. And unfortunately, my XP machine is 3.5.x too. Will have to load on my Vista machine and hope FireFox hasn't self-updated.

I imagine whatever the above is is very cool.

Ok, got it to load and that looks very interesting and apparently is -- I guess --- an OpenGL FireFox FTEQW plug-in that downloads everything.

The things that you and Spike do ;)

id Software got the wrong guys to do Quake Live. :D
