quakes storyline?

hey, i was wondering whats the best place to read up on quakes storyline ? (quake 1 only btw.)

The manual that comes with the Quake CD, and the ingame end-of episode descriptions.

Or watch The Seal of Nehahra for an alternative (and better) story.

Somebody should make a DJQuake TC. No, I am not speaking about Cake. I mean, walls in 2-brown pallete tones, smart and talkative shamblers and all that crazy stuff.
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)
