MeTcHsteekle:
Some of them were made by Preach or came from various free-to-use model q1 sites, while others I found in various mods. I only later found out that it's probably not a good idea to just take models from a mod even when you credit properly because some artists are really hostile about their work being used anywhere else. It's very different from the coder community (you give credit = use it for whatever you want).

edit: and some came from Q3 or Q2... Also highly taboo, according to the qmap/func_messageboard crowd. :?

that's weird, considering they love to use q2/q3 textures in their maps. You don't have to listen to their 'authority', they also considered original modding effort 'taboo' too especially if it detracts from the Quake 'mythos'

Yea. These are the same people who berated me for using Q3 models and models from other mods, and told me I should have instead used the open-source models (free for any kind of use stuff) found on X websites; but at the same time made fun of the quality of other models that I had gotten from those sites (and those were the best I could find).

There was just no winning with them. I suspect my greatest crime though was being a coder instead of an artist. They've always had that... "problem" with coders.
