Trying it ingame... It got some chemical weapon. They could come in red and green colors and use different attack.. red = flame, green = slime.. then I'd also have the red ones in levels with lava and green ones in levels with slime.

Revising our old texture set at the moment to have an overall grittier and darker tone.

Just one example, but now that we've agreed on it I'll be revising all our other textures over the course of the next few days along with working on some brand new textures.

The new texture seems about the same 'grittiness' but the shading is improved, giving more sense of depth to the panel joints.

hogsy: Could have some more orange if it's meant to be like the original, and a little bit more sharpness.

leileilol: Fun looking witch girl.

sock: Haven't animated them yet... just have them in one pose. All these arches in your levels make me want to do some arches too...

Here's the Walker/Tank class monster, equipped with err.. Pulse Miniguns. 260cm tall, and 1438 tris. Maybe now I could start on those animations.

It's not meant to be a 100% remake of the original and I feel colder tones help emphasize the overall tone of the level they're used in a bit better than the orange tone used in the original but thanks for the suggestion! I could probably make an alternative which could be a little closer to the original but I can't see it fitting very well with the rest of our texture set.
As for sharpening it, I'll have a little fiddle around :)

Loving the stuff you're working on btw!

leileilol:very good model, I like your style very much, it reminds me a little american mcgee's Alice
sock: perfect map as always, is umbelievable what you can do with a quake editor! :)
jim: I really like your map and model style! If I were I would only remove bump effect to walls. I think it would be more polished and aseptic

hogsy: Ok, better to have it fit together with the other textures, plus colored light can change the color...

toneddu2000: I'll assume you meant removing the bump effect from the walls. I do plan to keep it, but maybe I'll tweak it on the brown metal. The other texture was meant to be marble, but I think it turned out more like some semi-polished stone, and now that I think of it that way, I like it.
