What are you working on?

If you rig them for skeletal animation, and do anything else than walking / shooting animations, you will get nasty stretching. For that they simply have too little vertices.

Re: What are you working on?
Gotta add one more shading mode to Makaqu, restore the outline rendering for EF_CELSHADING, fix the lighting on the viewmodel when firing, fix the skyboxes in the Dreamcast version, add a 50 Hz option to european Dreamcasts, see if I can get the engine a bit more stable, and then it should be good enough for a release.
Some of the newest features are far from efficient, but this version has already taken too long to be released.

Cool. Maybe you could reimplement the software particle functions as a pixel shader

I can see the Quake Guy thinking: "Great! Now I'll have to clean up all this mess!"
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC
