Blender 2.49b (i find 2.5 evil and lacking at the moment)
Ditch milkshape out of all pipelines where possible. Using milkshape is like using a long ruler to make a clay sculpture
tab, e, g, r, s, w and enter are your friends
Tutorials out there are terrible though, and focus too much on subsurface modeling. Just watch. (this is really old and fast...but notice THAT I AM NOT MASHING PRIMITIVES TOGETHER LIKE CARDBOARD TUBE PROJECTS to make a model like most do in milkshape)

Haha!
leileilol, your video makes it look easy! Though, I think its because you've been doing this for awhile.
I've always looked at creating my own models as a daunting task to learn... Ha! maybe you have just inspired me to give it a try in the near future!

Well, I ran in to a bit of a twist with QCPad. Turns out that Window's "undo" and "redo" do not play nice with my syntax highlighter.
So, I decided to see how hard it would be to create my own "undo\redo" functionality. It turned out to be easier than I thought it was going to be!
The "twist" wasn't the actual problem itself... it was the positive gain of not only solving the problem but gaining an additional functionality from solving the problem!
With the new home-brewed "undo\redo" QCPad can now have a drop-down list for both "undo" and "redo"! You'll be able to undo\redo several consecutive actions with one click!
The funny thing is that I always thought it would be neat to have this functionality but didn't want to implement it. I thought it was going to be to much of a pain to do. And then... WHAM! Out of necessity it becomes easily possible!
You could say that I had an unexpected breakthrough!
