Heh, you came back. I'm downloading the new version right now. Great job on turning to DarkPlaces. I'm sure Telejano has a bunch of features, but it's not updated anymore.

Good luck on keeping the mod alive and updating it frequently.

Really nice.

PROS: Nice atmospheric lighting, clean textures, dynamic lighting on the fan, rotating fan.
CONS: I don't like the particles, too big, not "shiny"enough. Aliens exploding when dying, I'd rather see them collapse on the floor and twitching a bit. Sounds: original jumping sound not that pretty :P steps sounds are too noisy, they should be a bit smoother (marines are not wearing wooden boots, right?)

All in all, a great demo of Darkplaces features. What happened in the end? Did the character died?

That is by FAR the best example of Darkplaces I've seen! Wow, that really is amazing, well done :D

The ambience in it is pretty good, yeah :)
I agree that the particles are seem wrong (particuarly in that the gibs seem to give off smoke).
not sure, but was it my imagination that the gibs only have a yaw avelocity and not pitch/roll? Looked like they span axially.
hud needs changing. :)

good use of engine features.

..It certainly is very RED! lol. Looks good though, glad you haven't given up on it Fallus.

..Chip I agree with you on the sounds & particles and btw FYI when the face hugger clamps on to you it is a for certain death.

..Also agree the huds could use some changing as I have mentioned before to Fallus in previous releases.

Very well done. Like others have say, It works a example of what Darkplaces can do. A big improvement.

What I don't like is how the aliens gib, and the small gibs have a smooth trail and bounce. Bouncing gibs are something too "gamey", maybe It don't fit the realism setting I feel you are aiming to.

oh SWEET! *snatches link*

yeah man.. ignoring the obvious reason, you should also remove
that because its unnecessary bloat for a TC.
