Sadly, I still haven't found a reliable way to take good videos... so I'll have to look more into that.
The light is simply that, a test light in the test map.

Re: FPS game. Need input.
You are probably asking the wrong crowd here, if its UE4. Either people are here because of real open-source (GPL) or because they computer is to old to run UE4 games :p I think the most important thing would be asking yourself: "Is this sufficiently innovating a stagnant genre that it can att...

Visual Weapons Framer Release / Ask for Help
This is my attempt to take a character model (generally a player) without a weapon and add a weapon without frames. All of the animation is done QC-side. It's horribly unoptimized and not the best code in the world. If anyone has improvements or some such, it would be amazing to see this worked on m...

FPS game. Need input.
I'm going to deliberately keep this vague, but what do you look for most in a multiplayer FPS game (arena style shooter)?

Re: Fun with new Quake1 models
Any chance you'd release these in a model pack one day? I'd love to play around with them.

Anyone have experience with 3D printing?
In anticipation of obtaining a 3d printer this holiday season, I was checking to see if anyone here has any experience with them. I plan on printing possibly all of the quake models eventually... So I basically want to know how hard it would be to convert MDL files to a 3d printable file format (stl...

Re: Quake Mod Showcase
r00k: not sure if you've just not noticed, but this is a Quake 1 modding community. It always has been quake-centered... for a while there we started catering to other games (and won't turn others away), but the focal point has always been Quake.

I'm for it. I recall the awesome home brew emote icons from Cliffs of Insanity. Those were good times. Need Quake inspired ones.

Re: AtomicGamer is shutting down July 2015
AtomicGamer is stutting down for reasons undisclosed so far. AtomicGamer was the host and domain provider for Inside3D forever. Due to this happening, the I3D staff has taken it upon ourselves to secure a new alternative. We aren't 100% sure if we can obtain the origin domain, but a good bit of us h...

Monthly QuakeC Challenges
I've been thinking of doing monthly QuakeC challenges. A bit like turtle modding but spread over a month. I'd like to get everyone's input on this matter. I'd like to have them all be in the form of plugin qc's. (ie. Frikbot)
