Re: Old sources crash when compiled in fully updated win 7
Btw does anyone know where to get the sources for telejano quake ?, the old site is down and googling it only turns up links for the engine itself. Well I have a .zip with Telejano 5 sources here, don't know if it's the latest but better than nothing. Send me a PM so we can figure out how I can mak...

Re: Blood in OpenGL finally
TBH packaging the JRE/JDK with the application is very rare and prone to all sort of problems like conflicts with already existing installations. Usually one would just instruct the user to install the latest JRE.

Re: Blood in OpenGL finally
high def voxels included, and the openjdk package could probably be made a bit smaller, Ill see what i can do to get the size down some more. But since the engine is java based, it will allways have a size disadvantage unless you want to use java without local bindings, (i could do a package that w...

Re: Strange savegame sound bug in DP
Sounds like an engine bug. Are you using any DP exclusive feature ? You may try to report the bug to someone on the dev team, but activity on Darkplaces site is very low at best, I'd advise to just pick FTE and adapt your work if necessary.

Re: Fun with new Quake1 models
@tonneddu2000 - I made it myself after I saw some old pictures of the first release of Quake. I thought it a pity he wasn't in the game, but I could only make it throw an axe. So after some hussling with the QuakeRemake team Ijed succeeded to implement a shield attack. FourFeather has some working ...

Re: Fun with new Quake1 models
Cool. Don't know Quake story very much. Did you create it yourself or was it used in the first alpha release of the game? It would be great to see it in action I can't remember the shield, but otherwise this was the original concept to the ogre. EDIT: the right hand looks funny, as if misses a coup...

Re: Quake "champions"
Well, it seems that Quake Champions is getting lowest score in Id games history , at least on Steam. I quickly read some comments and 80% of criticisms are regarding poor net code and sh*tt* servers. Plus, it seems (I didn't buy it yet) that no bot AI mode has been implemented  Makes sense s...

Re: What are you working on?
Yeah the weird wall angles are unreal-y. BTW I am replaying Unreal right now, and it is funny how it can look more advanced than Quake in some aspects (visual effects that would appear only with Quake 3 shaders) but also more primitive in others (the lack of detail in map geometry is jarring compare...

Re: Mod.io
That's cool kind of like the quake injector? Not quite... Let's take an imaginary Quake example: suppose you created a Quake C mod that uses some new monster models and textures I created. Usually you'd pack those resources with your progs.dat into a .pak file, zip it with a readme.txt and upload t...

Well, guess we can officially say that id is done for good.
It's like saying now Ferraris will use Chery or JAC engines.

Re: Mod.io
From what I undestood from the comments, it's a souped up HTTP client library you can embed in your game to download curated content from ModDB CDN servers. Interesting, but nothing revolutionary.

Nice little game, Shpuld. You got really good at this kind of "blitzkrieg" mini-project, they always require good doses of imagination and skills.
Are you currently working in any other project ?
