I've never seen an auto adjustiment work very well in a game. As Lunaran pointed out in a game he was working on that had auto adjustment, while play testing, every time he killed a monster it would just happen to drop what ever he was running low on at the time. These kind of implementations take t...

GTKRadiant - mostly the 1.2 series because the pull and surface inspector tools are -- oh what is the word, like 'decomissioned', taken out, oh man, it's gonna bug me -- in later versions. 1.5 is pretty nice except for the matter that I mentioned.

Hey Trinca, I was trying to down load the file you sent using hotmail a moment ago, and I got this message: It is not possible to download files from Hotmail that contain incurable viruses. Contact the originator of the file, inform them that the file contains a virus, and ask them to send a virus-f...

I'll have something worthwhile to show, just not everything I wanted to have completed out the door yet.

Hey Trinca,

Funny you should ask. I was sketching out an idea just a moment ago. I'll have it ready for you by Sunday.

Are you using any custom QuakeC at the moment, like SoA? Or can I start from base?

I'll have to check out those IRC spots sometime soon when I get the time. I remember discovering Mirc in the summer of '97 and then logging off to go to a New Year's Eve party, and wondering, 'Holy shit! where did that year go.' Though, being married at the time, I was tuning a lot of things out.

in this regard, it, 'spectrum', is a delicate way of saying the term, 'white trash.' Come to think of it, you're right. The rusted satelite dish in the back of the truck on cement blocks crowd has to be a tough customer base to please.

I get a couple of minor instances of malware a week, but adaware, A2Squared and a decent firewall are enough to keep my system clean. Last winter I cleaned up my sister's PC. A nephew on her husband's side of the spectrum lived with them for a few months and left gigabytes of warez and porn on her s...

Hey LTH! Glad to see you back on the scene, and thanks too.

Sajt, a small degree of minlighting helps to eliminate the ugly starkness in shadows. It is just an option like any other to be used at a mapper's discretion.

some minlight, but not much -- set at 30; I feel the lighting is the best looking part of the map but I can only take credit for the placement of the light sources, not for the finese of the compilation settings.

For me -- it's the game itself. I enjoy a good many shooters, and modded for Thief and No One Lives Forever. I really have no complaints about either, except the Thief map editor, Dromed. is crappy. I had played Quake when it first came out, along with the expansion packs and some of the custom maps...

Glad to hear your project is almost ready. It means I 'lll have time to integrate Gyro II into my mod project before QExpo rolls around. I haven't began coding for the project yet, as my efforts have been towards getting the models up and running first. I have a butt load of pics of monster, weapons...
