Due to the way lighting is handled, there's no way to have a light with a style (gentle pulse, flickering, strobe, etc) turn on or off by trigger, right? (just making sure).
Thanks, Tronyn.

Re: Looking for technical advice on a map
Hi Sock, Well no insult to anyone was intended, I already have a couple mappers who are going to playtest the map (ijed, OTP, maybe ORL since I tested one of his maps recently), although now that you mention it I should probably ask on func_ as well. This map was designed quite a while ago though an...

Looking for technical advice on a map
Hi guys, If you can believe it, even after Something Wicked I've built something that may break Quake even more (lol). I'm looking for some technical advice on a map (again BSP2 format), particularly with vising. In Something Wicked, I used giant func_walls in a few places to make the vising more be...

Re: Quake1 Bsp2 Format
Thanks to everyone for the replies/information. I expect to start compiling the final version in the next week or two. So as of now I'm using the RMQ tools. But am I understanding the general information properly (unlike many mappers, I've never been a programmer) to say that there is an earlier ver...

Quake1 Bsp2 Format
Hi everyone, I've got a Q1SP map which is too large even for the modern Quake expanded BSP format, and which basically HAS to use the BSP2 format as pioneered by the now defunct RMQ Project. I've heard that other engines aside from the RMQ engine (which I hope will continue to be updated since it's ...
