Hi, you are probably aware of this, but this odesn't work with the absolute latest betas of DP (29th November 2007 build) because it appears that all of the r_glsl_* commands have been removed from the engine...

Except that they're smilies. 'emoticons' is the fucked up microsoft name for them, that makes me want to kill people. You have been warned. Well I don't know about you, but calling a :( or a :/ a "smiley" is just wrong to me because they don't portray anything resembling a smile at all...

It's a pity that it's not possible to do true clipped decals like in Half-Life for example.

All of the "decal" QC mods I've seen so far look cheap (cheaplol) because they don't wrap around the world's surface.

Okay, I'll give the mounting software a try.

Is FitzQuake more "vanilla" than ProQuake? I would stick with WinQuake but it doesn't support the mousewheel and the most "vanilla" port I've stumbled upon is ProQuake...

Global variables - how?

How do I create floats or custom fields that do not get reset when the map changes? I want to do something like, a secret triggered from the previous map can only be seen on the next map. Stuff like that. No, I don't want to use the dummy cvars because I don't want players to freely set the cvar. I ...

Help... Quake music without CDs

I prefer to play Quake with the CD music, but it's very inconvenient for me to have the CD physically inside my CD drive everytime I want to play. I also feel that the disc has already had enough reading throughout the years, it's starting to skip. (I managed to rip the songs into WAVs on my hard di...

This will never happen but I've always wished that future Quake releases would expand the whole Lovecraftian thing more, not them outerspace Strogg stuff.

Looks like they really like the Strogg idea that they've made 3 games (Q2, Q4, ET:QW) about it...

My bad! I was watching the videos, but my brief scan-through of the original post led me to believe that it was out by looking at the link with an EXE (which turned out to be the personality editor). Just goes to show my crappy post-reading skills. :P The AI does look very impressive. But I hope the...

I'm just wondering, is your bot anything like Nexuiz's bots? I really, REALLY hate Nexuiz's bots because they are either too dumb or too perfect. Hopefully yours is balanced.

(I will play your bot later this week... work's been pretty hectic)

While we're on the subject of inconsistencies, I find it odd how the Enforcer is the only enemy that speaks English (their see sounds, "you there", "stop", "halt" and "freeze"). :P
