I've given three origins for my nick:

- bit of a take on Headshot for the inspired simplicity of his levels

- varied from MindCrime, a head thump being a crime committed to the head

- I was dropped on my head as a baby

All three have a grain of truth with the last one being the most valid.

Thanks for sharing the above story No Problem. Of the utilitarians, Mills is the one I find copacetic. Though as far as philosophers go, these guys I miss the most: Some folks trust to reason Others trust to might I don't trust to nothing But I know it come out right Say it once again now Oh I hope...

Um ... where did I say I hate artists? Anti-Artites are very subtle and don't just announce their hatred for the artiste. A little story, undoubtedly apocrypha, one art teacher once told me. When Leonardo da Vinci was painting The Last Supper, he took his sweet ass time about it, coming and going a...

speaking of subplots I also don't believe there is something more noble about those types of creations versus, say, the type of things LordHavoc does. You've made that point several times now, I'm starting to get the feeling you don't like artist. Is there a back story here? Did an artist lover leav...

So Al Gore gets one word out of place in an interview with Wolf Blitzer 8 years ago where-in he takes partial credit for something he indeed did help and foster Yeah, the article I pointed to neglected to mention the Clinton Administration's (Gore lead tech policy) moratorium on allowing local and ...

Here is the infamous Gore quote that deserves ridicule: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." even if he didn't literally use the word 'invented', he was clearly taking a great deal of credit for its creation. http://www.wired.co...

The Internets
Lol. 2000, what a year. One guy had a basic syntatic problem with the word and the other guy claimed to have invented it. We were throughly screwed either way.

:) I understand the point you were making much better now.
There is much truth in that, I wonder if the Family Guy will seem quaint in 20 plus years.

art assets are going to be obsolete in 15 years anyway. Baker, art assets will never be obsolete (in context of the human epoch of existence). Non artist will always spaz out when trying to arrange assets in an aesthetic matter. It's just one version of Pareto's Law that cannot be overcome by some ...

Since the dawn of Quake mapping, some mappers have included a 'do what ever you want with it, I don't care', in the text notice. I notice a hesitancy from GPL advocates to go ahead and use these by repackaging them under the GPL as one of the 'ever you wants', but why not? It is not an explicit lice...

if the maps are custom, you can use clip brushes over the sections where bots are having problems. If the height changes in the floor are minor, 4 or 8 units, it probably wont be noticeable when the bots pass over.

he he well i was using it in this context to mean a possible result that could be accomplished in any number of ways; or a "solution" to this non-trivial endeavor of exporting to .MDL format. Don't mean to pick on you, well a little bit maybe, and it wasn't really a bad example of usuage. ...

What is happening to the word 'solution' over the past few years? I barely recognize it any longer.

Anyway, this topic should help:

Preach has made a exporter for the mdl format for Blender.

:) As someone whose artwork at one time paid the bills, I salute you Chillo, sir. That is good work. You have an eye for evil. Whether it is in the pommel lattice that suggest a thorny bend or the bone work on the bow that hints of the four point symmetry of a snake's mandible, you have an intuitive...
