Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
Math is my achilles heel when it comes to gamedev actually. All the more sophisticated math in Twig is by LadyHavoc, I can only use premade functions because I know what they do, but not how they work. Like if there's a matrix multiply function available, or quaternion related functions, I can use t...

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
I gave what you sent a quick look, and I'd recommend you use the car game source as your base instead, since it is more up to date and has more features. Mainly it has support for directional friction, which was required to make the car. The car is 6 particles, 4 for the wheels, 1 for bomb and 1 for...

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
Thanks for the kind words! No idea what is the latest version, as far as I know I only released it once and never updated it, so it's probably the latest! Sounds like it's 10 years old also, which is cute. Send to marko.permanto@gmail.com please! The reservation was just from this here: https://foru...

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
I did some more reading, and found that MIT was in fact superior (in my mind) because it had one less caveat, so I went with that after all. I saw Icculus had some reservations when it came to using MIT, but it seemed esoteric and doesn't matter in this context. A tiny bump in the road however, I do...

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
I got a go ahead, so I'll be doing the things in the following week hopefully! I'm thinking I'll do zlib license instead of MIT since it seems simpler.

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
Gee thanks guys, it means a lot! And I will totally continue with the videos, I kinda can't wait to have time to do a new one really, it was so much fun. Just gotta take care of some other biz first so I can relax and do fun stuff again. I haven't tried blueprints, but I think UDK kismet was fine fo...

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
Twig is also quite unstable, but I mean if you like it, you like it. What license does the recently opensourced PhysX have? It's pretty good, probably the most robust 3D physics engine right now, could look at that too. Not saying it's robust, it's unfortunately just the best currently from what I'v...

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
First of all, you should've wrote a comment on one of my videos or something, I spend several hours a day on youtube. If you did, I missed it and I'm sorry. It's super uncanny that when I for nostalgias sake go and browse this forum, I see my name mentioned. God knows how many years it's been since ...

No we didn't get paid, I'm attending a game-dev school and managed to get a spot on the team making this together with another classmate, meanwhile the rest of the class did level design theory, so yay! Downsider: I was one of the level designers (did some scripting too), we were 5 level designers, ...

I feel bad for not doing any Quake stuff anymore, but I still feel like this is my home so I want to show off stuff I've been working on to you guys although it's not Quake related. Quake is still in my heart though, and we had another previous Quake mapper on this as well, so it kind of counts? :D ...

Quake as a base for art
http://www.untitled-game.org/download.html
I haven't downloaded and checked them out, just noticed Jodi used Quake to make art from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jodi_(art_collective) . Am I the only one to have missed this? Is it notable? Fish?
