Old interview with Peterson? And are you using bollocks positively or negatively there... positively. I guess a new interview would be better, but having the old ones up on the site from day one would be cool. I never read the original peterson interview, though I found this gamespy one: http://arc...

I am well up for having a booth and releasing content, but not sure if I will be able to help out any more than that. Certainly I want to be involved and will help as much as I can and have the time for. I've got a bunch of maps in near complete state that I should be able to ready up for QExpo. I'd...

the q2 water pic on the main page looks pretty prime... couldn't find more shots of it on their booth though :/

yeah, it works ok in Opera now. I got a connection refused problem, then tried in FF and it worked fine before, but not it all seems to work fine. One suggestion I have (I sent a quick mail about this to Sajt) is that there should be a tag that makes extra spaces and returns be ignored as with stand...

Cool!

I couldn't create a booth in Opera 9 though. I used Firefox and it worked fine, so I will make do with that, but perhaps you could have a quick check with Opera.

I've not uploaded anything yet of course, just created a booth. Looking forward to the start of QExpo!

There are also different light attenuation formulae you can use for each light, and you can set brightness tp a negative value to cast shadows instead of light :)

STOP! There is an easier way! The basic light entity can have more properties than just brightness and appearance (flicker, strobe, etc.) If you are using a more recent tool such as Tyrann's tyrlite (http://www.disenchant.net) , or aguirRe's light tools (http://user.tninet.se/~xir870k/) you can set ...

I'll stick a regged version up at my site when I get the chance (before or by QExpo). I doubt Valve will mind, but perhaps it is worth sending them an email about this... perhaps they will allow it to be freely distributed since it is the 10th anniversary of Quake and all. Either that or they will s...

In my opinion, the best time is when you are low on health and there are no health packs around. You continue to make a little progress, kill a couple of monsters, then find a small health stash that puts you back to 50-70% FIGHTING FIT! The health should come just after the player has been shitting...

I just checked and am still seeing the "coming soon..." message (now with added Shamblers!) The background is a bit funny on the eyes though, as it kind of made my think I had dust all over my screen. Actually, there is a lot of dust on the screen, but that bg makes it look dustier. I do l...

I still use Worldcraft 1.6a (registered) for Quake 1 mapping, because it is by far the best editor I've used for dealing with entities, multiple selections, texturing, and has the best camera controls (and ability to set up and save multiple cameras around the level) as well as visgroups, which allo...

I'm pretty psyched about QExpo now. I have nearly wrapped up my first map and I may have time to finish my other map before QExpo is over. I'm looking forward to getting started on my booth now, and hopefully I will have received my starter pack from Yahoo by the time QExpo starts (yeah, finally I w...

Hell kinda!

1 map nearly done, 1 map about 2 weeks from done. No booth, but some ideas. Tons of stuff has been scrapped because there isn't enough time, but at least I will have some stuff ready to show.

Er, so, basically what HeadThump said.

Bring it on!

I think most func_msgboard folk are up for QExpo '06, myself included. I made a quick post in the GA thread a while ago suggesting that we all start gearing up for it now, as if we start making maps now, we can have a lot of great NEW content ready by June/July. Personally, I am working on a smallis...
