Now I need a decent crate model, preferrably the same dimensions as, say, a shell/nail box, probably in bsp format. I think I can make this, but I need to know, is it as simlpe as just making a box in a map editor, putting some lights around it, and compiling & lighting? Well, its not a bsp mod...

Question 3 : What information should be stored on each map? I'm going to keep track of this stuff so far: -# of times map was beaten -# of secrets found -# of enemies killed -Any key items found or quest items completed Well, if you were planning on giving rewards for finding secrets, list them - e...

Re: Question on shielding

Question 1) What's a decent max for Precision armor? Right now - no clue. Lots of playtesting would be needed, and you'd want to observe what happens to the balance from changes to 2 && 3. Question 2) Should I have some monsters weilding high-powered weapons that could potentially kill a no...

I like the new skin. The buttons kind of clash with it, but its better than just using the default phpbb skin, I'd say.

Re: DiD 2

So long as you're still going to work on it, go ahead. You'd probably want to mark it "REALLY NON COMPLETE ALPHA DAMMIT" so the slower people out there don't get confused, though.. :P

Giving away gmail invites

So, yeah. I'm giving away gmail invites, I've got 5 right now. Its fairly nice webmail and you get 1K MB of storage (not a full GB, mind you). PM me with your first and last name and email address and I'll send the invite out.

Yes, I'm considering doing that with the Conquest menus, eventually... I'm going to use entities that are .drawonlytoclient (an engine value to cut on network traffic) for the graphics. Unfortunately that still creates lots of entities, and you need some way to know what the player's screen size is...

I'm voting for Vile 2 - I loved Vile and if as little as half of the stuff that has been discussed about V2 makes it in it'll make for a sweet mod.

Re: Help with conquest file saving

The second problem was that I had not set up Coop's gameplay very well. When one of us died, we respawned with the same shields, weapons and money we had when we started the map. This was annoying because of it takes time to re-buy weapons and ammo and such, assuming you even have the money to do s...
